1. Scope and valid account
This policy applies to the UniPlay Streaming applications and web services. The application is a content access interface and requires a valid account provided or authorized for the user. It does not sell subscriptions, renew plans or process payments inside the TV application.
2. Data we may process
Only data needed to authenticate the account, release authorized content, operate the application and protect the service may be processed:
- username, password, server or DNS address, account status and content permissions;
- IP address, platform, device type, application version, request date and time, and minimum security records;
- temporary TV pairing code, device secret and pairing status when QR Code login is used;
- favorites, viewing history, playback progress, selected profile and application preferences stored locally on the device.
3. Purposes of processing
We use this data to validate credentials, identify the authorized content, complete TV pairing, maintain local preferences, prevent abuse and fraud, investigate technical failures, provide support and protect the integrity of the service.
4. QR Code login
The QR Code never contains a username, password, DNS address or permanent access token. It only directs the user to a temporary pairing page with a short-lived code.
The pairing code and device secret are unique and expire within five minutes. Only the hash of the device secret is kept on the server. Temporary credentials are encrypted while waiting for secure delivery to the requesting TV. After the application confirms receipt through ACK, the pairing is consumed and its temporary delivery data is deleted. An expired, completed or mismatched code cannot be used to obtain credentials.
5. Data stored on the device
The password is not permanently saved by the application on the TV. It is used only as needed to establish the authorized session. Favorites, history, playback progress, selected profile, parental control settings and other preferences may be stored locally and remain on the device until logout, application data clearance or uninstallation.
6. Content playback and authorized server
To release the content associated with the account, playback may transmit the account credentials to the authorized content server linked to that account. The server validates access and returns only the categories, content and permissions available to the user.
7. Service providers and data disclosure
Data may be processed by UniPlay Streaming servers, infrastructure and hosting providers, and the content server associated with the user's account, strictly as needed to operate the requested service. Data may also be disclosed when required by law or a valid authority order.
UniPlay Streaming does not sell personal data.
8. Retention
TV pairing data is retained only until ACK, expiration or cancellation. Technical and security records are retained for the minimum period needed for operation, support, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Locally stored preferences follow the retention rules described in section 5.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, hashing for device secrets and encryption for temporary credential delivery. No internet service is completely risk-free, but we apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards and continually review the operation of our authentication flows.
10. Your privacy rights
You may request confirmation of processing, access to your data, correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and deletion of data when legally applicable. Send the request to p.uniplaystreaming@gmail.com. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and protect the account before fulfilling the request.
11. Policy updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the applications, security practices or applicable law. The effective version and its last update date will always be available on this page.
